This professional development equips therapists with practical tools to measure a student’s progress who experiences School Can’t. It introduces The Connection Element’s Parent Support Courses, and guides the setting of SMART goals for school attendance. It explores a school experience assessment for children and young people, measuring progress through a wellbeing wheel linked to self determination theory, and uses a reasonable adjustment list to suggest ways school can support motivation, competency and self-advocacy.
